Owen has happily called the front range of Colorado home since 1998, and he has come to truly appreciate the connections and friendships that he has cultivated with his fellow Coloradans from various walks of life over the last two and a half decades.
In 2007, Owen graduated from the University of Colorado at Boulder with a bachelor’s degree in communication, a certificate in applied business, and a minor in history. Since then, various flavors of chaos and overall soul-searching inspired Owen to return to academia in 2013 at Arapahoe Community College in Littleton, Colorado. It was here where Owen received his A.B.A. accredited paralegal certificate in 2015.
In the ten years prior to joining Dan Caplis Law in August of 2025, Owen worked under the supervision of attorneys who practiced law in areas of personal injury, civil litigation, business licensing, probate, family law, and criminal defense. Despite having gained a diverse experience in these various legal practices, the majority of Owen’s paralegal career has been within the realm of personal injury, and it is this area of law that Owen continues to feel a prominent resonance. While Owen understands that personal injury incidents can have significant physical and medical setbacks for victims, he also understands that these same incidents alter and deprive victims of the one luxury that we all will never have enough of in life: Time.
Outside of Owen’s work life, he finds balance and perspective in continuing to genuinely build connections with people in the social landscape, and he also enjoys various recreational sports, golf, social couples dancing, history, reading, and electronic music production.
