DENVER, Colo. — Dan Caplis Law is proud to announce that attorney Lauren Knapp has been selected to The National Trial Lawyers Top 40 Under 40, an invitation-only professional organization recognizing the nation’s most accomplished trial attorneys under the age of 40.
The Top 40 Under 40 distinction is reserved for a select group of attorneys who have demonstrated superior qualifications, trial results, leadership, reputation, and influence within the legal profession. Selection is based on a rigorous multi-phase process that includes peer nominations, third-party research, and independent evaluation of each attorney’s professional achievements.
Knapp represents victims and their families in catastrophic injury and wrongful death cases, bringing years of courtroom litigation experience to some of the most complex and high-stakes civil matters. Before entering private practice, she served as a Deputy District Attorney in Colorado’s 18th Judicial District, where she prosecuted misdemeanor and felony cases, including serious crimes involving children and at-risk adults.
A graduate of the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, Knapp distinguished herself as a member of the National Trial Team, earning a National Championship at the National Ethics Trial Competition along with multiple trial advocacy honors. Her commitment to excellence has also earned her recognition as Best Lawyers: Ones to Watch (2026) and a Super Lawyers Rising Star (2026).
Founded in 2008, The National Trial Lawyers is a professional organization composed of premier trial lawyers from across the United States. Through its Top 40 Under 40 program, the organization recognizes attorneys who have achieved exceptional professional success early in their careers while demonstrating excellence in trial advocacy and leadership within the legal profession.
