Pennie Clor has represented clients in various personal injury cases since 1993. Since graduation from law school, Pennie has had the privilege of acting as an advocate for those injured by the negligence of others.
Pennie was born in Livonia, Michigan in 1962. She grew up in Texas, near San Antonio. Pennie attended the University of Texas Health Sciences Center in San Antonio and obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in nursing in 1983. Pennie worked as a critical care nurse, surgical transplant care nurse, and emergency room nurse prior to entering law school. In 1993, Pennie graduated from the University of Denver School of Law. As a law student Pennie worked as a law clerk for the State of Colorado Public Defenders office, defending juvenile offenders in the Denver office. She is a recipient of the American Jurisprudence Award in Civil Procedure. Pennie believes that as an experienced nurse she is able to incorporate and use her nursing background effectively in representing individuals that have suffered an injury particularly, victims of medical malpractice.
Pennie has successfully represented clients that have suffered injuries as a result of the medical negligence of doctors, nurses, pharmacists, emergency medical technicians and other hospital employees. These cases include birth injury, surgical injuries, misdiagnosis, delayed diagnosis, prescription errors, nursing home injuries and nursing errors resulting in catastrophic injury, including brain injury, loss of limb and wrongful death.
Pennie represents other personal injury victims who have been injured in the work place, in automobile accidents, and as a result of defective products. Pennie has also represented clients that have suffered discrimination as a result of disability and victims of sexual harassment.
Pennie is a member of the Woman's Bar Association, the Colorado Trial Lawyers Association and the Colorado Bar Association. She is admitted to practice in Colorado State and Federal Courts. Pennie is active in her community and serves Arapahoe County as a Volunteer Court Appointed Special Advocate.
