Babar Butt
Babar Butt joined Caplis & Deasy, LLC as an associate in the summer of 2006. He previously worked as a law clerk for the firm in 2004 and then as a summer associate in the summer of 2005. In the fall of 2005, Mr. Butt interned at the Office for the Public Defender, Appellate Division, where he focused on research and writing as well as appellate advocacy. On August 21, 2006, Mr. Butt returned to Caplis & Deasy, LLC as an associate. Demonstrating a strong talent for courtroom work, Mr. Butt won his first district court jury trial within one week of being admitted to practice law in Colorado.
As an attorney, Babar Butt aspires to practice law with the same unbending integrity and strict adherence to ethics that characterizes his colleagues. His areas of specialty include discovery practice, legal research, motions practice, and appeals.
Education and Experience
Babar Butt is a Colorado native, born at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Denver. He grew up in Aurora and graduated from Smoky Hill High School in 2000 with an International Baccalaureate diploma. Mr. Butt then attended the University of Colorado, Leeds School of Business. He graduated in 2003 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a double emphasis in finance and information systems. Mr. Butt then entered the University of Colorado Law School, where his coursework focused on litigation and trial advocacy. He graduated in 2006.
Babar Butt is a welcome addition to Caplis & Deasy, LLC and has already made himself indispensable to the firm. His legal background illustrates the dedication and determination that are integral to the beliefs that shape the practice philosophy at Caplis & Deasy, LLC, and he shares with his colleagues the same commitment to providing aggressive, compassionate representation while protecting the rights of the citizens of Colorado.
Babar Butt is a member of the Colorado Bar Association. He has also been admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the district of Colorado.
In his spare time, Mr. Butt is proud to be a Big Brother in the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Colorado.
